Pipedrive integration
Revenue forecasting and pipeline analytics for Pipedrive.
Pipemetry reads your Pipedrive deals and their change history and turns them into a forecast you can explain: point-in-time pipeline history, transparent forecast models, accuracy tracking, and risk alerts — built for SMB and lower-mid-market RevOps teams.
How the Pipedrive connection works
- 1
Connect Pipedrive
Authorize Pipemetry with a Pipedrive personal API token or an OAuth app. It needs read access to your deals and their change history — Pipemetry never creates or changes a deal.
- 2
Map your fields
Tell Pipemetry which Pipedrive fields are your amount, stage, and expected close date — once. Self-serve, no implementation project.
- 3
Forecast the same day
Pipemetry backfills your deal history on connect and tells you the date that history actually begins, so you know exactly which part of the chart is evidence.
How the sync stays current — and what it can’t do
By default Pipemetry keeps your Pipedrive pipeline current by polling: it looks for deals changed since the last run, reads just those deals’ changelogs, appends the changes to your event log, and advances a watermark.
You can also switch on real-time updates, and Pipedrive pushes each deal change the moment it happens — using none of your API budget for the changes it delivers, since nothing is polled. It is opt-in per workspace and needs an admin connection: Pipedrive delivers webhooks only for deals the connecting user can see, so a non-admin connection would quietly miss part of your pipeline. Pipemetry checks that and tells you, rather than switching it on and under-reporting. Polling continues either way as a safety net.
How far back Pipemetry can rewind depends on your account’s deal changelog retention, which is a property of your Pipedrive account rather than of Pipemetry. So it does not promise a depth: after the first backfill it reports the date your observed history actually begins, and treats everything before that as unknown rather than drawing a flat line that would read as real data.
One more thing worth knowing before you connect: Pipedrive applies visibility per deal, so a non-admin connection can see fewer deals than your account holds — silently, with no error. Pipemetry checks whether the connected user is an admin and warns you when they are not, because a forecast built from a subset of your pipeline looks healthy from every other angle.
What you get on top of Pipedrive
-
Rewind your Pipedrive pipeline to a past day
Pipemetry reads each deal’s changelog and builds a point-in-time event log, so it can reconstruct what your pipeline looked like on a historical date rather than only today. See what slipped, what pulled in, and what changed since last week.
-
A forecast you can actually inspect
No black box. Swap between transparent models — a cohort heuristic, a stage-weighted pipeline, an ML deal score, and an ensemble that blends them — see the inputs behind every number, and on Pro read a p10–p90 confidence band around the projection.
-
It tells you where the history stops
Before your changelog’s first recorded change there is nothing to reconstruct from, so Pipemetry states that date instead of drawing a confident flat line backwards. You can see which part of the chart is observed and which is not.
-
Waterfall, accuracy & risk alerts
Read the waterfall of what moved your number, track forecast accuracy per owner (MAPE, bias, compliance), and get an email alert (Slack on Pro) when a deal slips or coverage drops below plan.
Your Pipedrive data, protected
Pipemetry connects to your CRM, so it treats your data with care: tenant isolation with row-level security, encryption in transit (with credentials and backups encrypted at rest), and a WORM access audit. SOC 2 is in progress. Read how Pipemetry secures your data.
Pipedrive integration FAQ
What Pipedrive permissions does Pipemetry need?
Read access to your deals and their change history. A personal API token is not a read-only credential — it follows the connecting user’s own permissions — so if you want the grant itself bounded, use OAuth, which needs the deals and recents scopes — deal history lives under the recents scope, not the deals scope, so a token with deals access alone can read your pipeline but not its history — plus the contacts scope (contacts:read), so Pipemetry can count the people on each deal; it keeps only that number, never a name or email. Without it your pipeline still imports, but the single-threaded-deal alert cannot run. Pipemetry reads your deal data and never creates or changes a deal, and stored credentials are encrypted at rest. The one thing it writes to your account is a webhook subscription, and only if you switch on real-time updates — removed again when you switch them off.
Is the Pipedrive sync real-time?
It can be. By default Pipemetry polls on a schedule — it looks for deals changed since the last run, reads just their changelogs, and advances a watermark. You can also switch on real-time updates: Pipemetry registers a webhook subscription in your Pipedrive account, and Pipedrive then pushes each deal change the moment it happens, using none of your API budget for the changes it delivers. That subscription is the only thing Pipemetry writes to Pipedrive, and switching real-time updates off removes it. That option needs an admin connection: Pipedrive only delivers webhooks for deals the connecting user can see, so a non-admin connection would silently miss part of your pipeline — Pipemetry checks and tells you rather than turning it on anyway.
How far back can Pipemetry rewind my Pipedrive pipeline?
As far back as your Pipedrive account’s deal changelog goes — that retention is a property of your account, not of Pipemetry, and it varies. Rather than guess, Pipemetry reports the date your observed history actually begins after the first backfill. Before that date it has no recorded changes to reconstruct from, and it says so instead of drawing a flat line that looks like data.
Does it matter which Pipedrive user I connect with?
Yes, more than most integrations. Pipedrive applies visibility per deal, so a non-admin connection can silently see fewer deals than your account holds — with no error anywhere. Pipemetry checks whether the connected identity is an admin and warns you when it is not, because a forecast built on a subset of your pipeline looks perfectly healthy from every other angle. Connect with an admin identity if you want whole-pipeline coverage.
Does Pipemetry burn my Pipedrive API quota?
Pipedrive’s daily token budget is shared across every integration you run, so Pipemetry caps itself at a fraction of your account’s budget and paces its reads against the rate-limit headers Pipedrive returns. It is designed to leave room for the rest of your stack rather than consume the day’s allowance in one sweep.
Is my Pipedrive data secure?
Pipemetry enforces tenant isolation at the database layer with row-level security, encrypts data in transit, encrypts your credentials and backups at rest, and keeps a WORM (write-once) access audit. SOC 2 is in progress. See the security page for detail.
